Hawthorn Lodge Bed and Breakfast is situated 1km from the beautiful Tidy Town award winning village of Mountshannon in County Clare, just 40 minutes from Shannon Airport, Ennis, Limerick, and Nenagh (Co. Tipperary), and 60 minutes from Galway City.

The village in East Clare boasts to be "Ireland's Best Kept Secret" nestling at the foot of the Slieve Aughty Mountains and overlooking Lough Derg with its scattering of mystical islands - it is steeped in history and legend. Mountshannon dates back to 1742 when is was built by a Limerick linen tycoon.
