Clare Drama Festival – Scariff.
The 62nd Drama festival is running from Thursday 26th March –  Saturday 4th April 2009. It starts with our own Sliabh Aughty Drama group performing “A Skull in Connemara” by Martin McDonagh – well worth a visit! For all the details of the festival see the website – www.adce.ie.

The Iniscealtra Festival of Arts (27th May – 1st June 2009). 
The fourteenth Iniscealtra Festival of Arts 2009 opens in Mountshannon with Visual Art Exhibitions on Saturday 23rd May. The official Opening Ceremony and night of music and celebration follows on Wednesday 27th May and the festival continues on through the Bank Holiday weekend, finishing on Monday 1st June.

This years theme of Myths and Legends promises a varied and exciting programme including: Music (traditional/classical/contemporary), Visual Arts exhibitions and talks, both local and international in collaboration with The Irish Museum of Modern Art (IMMA) and The Burren School of Arts. Dance, Contemporary and Ceili, Film, Green Fair, Craft and Art activities and a variety of workshops open to all including Traditional/World music classes. Free outdoor lakeshore concerts, storytelling, puppetry, demonstrations and participatory activities for all the family. Feakle Music Festival   (5th - 11th Aug 2009)
5 Days of music, song, dance with concerts, Céili's, workshops, lectures, recitals, singing and sessions. The Festival is based in the homely village of Feakle, East Clare, Co. Clare, Ireland. The Feakle Music Festival has it's origins within the rich array of musical talents that abound on the East Clare area. From the era of the house dance, through the Hall dances and pub sessions - a rich tradition has been maintained and strengthened thus eminating in a very successful Music Festival. The Festival started some years ago in 1988 and has gone from strength to strength. It is now respected worldwide as one of the best of it's kind in the country.

Tulla Traditional Music Festival

The Tulla Traditional Music Festival 2009 promises to be even bigger and better that our 50 year celebration Festival last year. Our Guest of Honour for the weekend is legendary fiddle player Liz Carroll who will be travelling from the United States.
The highlight of the weekend will be our 'Masters in Town' Concert which will take place on Saturday night 13th Sept in St. Peter and Paul's Church Tulla at 8pm. This concert will feature Joe Burke, Ann Conroy Burke, Matt Molloy, Arty McGlynn and John Carty, Mary Bergin, Kathleen Loughnane, Geraldine Cotter, Tommy Hayes, Mick O'Brien, Vincent Griffin, the Tulla Ceili Band and of course Liz Carroll.

The Ennis Trad Festival - (November) is a festival for those who love to hear (or play) Irish traditional music of the highest quality in its most natural setting. Now in its twelfth year, the festival brings together the very best of Irish traditional musicians in a relaxed and informal atmosphere. Over 20 venues host selected exponents of the music, carefully mixed and matched to ensure a choice of many great sessions.
